Contract Manager

Location: Remote - National Travel

Salary: Competitive

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Are you an experienced and detail-oriented project leader with a passion for safety, structure, and seamless delivery? We are seeking a Contract Manager – Mechanical Arboriculture to join our expanding team and oversee full project lifecycles across the UK.

This role involves managing client inquiries through to project completion, ensuring efficient, safe, and budget-conscious delivery. It combines technical oversight, regulatory compliance, and operational coordination in a client-facing capacity.

Responsibilities
  • Client Engagement & Site Assessment: Respond to inquiries, schedule site visits, conduct assessments, and hazard evaluations.
  • Tendering & Quoting: Prepare cost sheets, quotations, and submit tenders timely.
  • Project Setup & Resource Planning: Coordinate logistics and ensure operational readiness.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Prepare RAMS, compliance documentation (LOLER, PUWER, etc.), and oversee plant maintenance and site compliance tasks.
  • Project Delivery & Oversight: Maintain communication, monitor progress, manage changes, and ensure safety and financial targets are met.
  • Closeout & Reporting: Finalize projects, sign-offs, and reconcile financials.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in project or contract management, preferably in arboriculture, rail, construction, or mechanical sectors.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance including RAMS, LOLER, and PUWER.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
