Job summary

A Southern New Mexico hospital is seeking a Radiology/X-Ray Technologist to perform imaging procedures and ensure high-quality results. You will position patients, operate X-ray equipment, and maintain accurate documentation while collaborating with radiologists and clinicians.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT certification, and state licensure, with 1 year of experience preferred. A sign-on bonus and relocation bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Valid X-Ray Technologist certification (e.g., ARRT) and state licensure as required.
• 1 year of experience preferred; new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform X-ray procedures according to established protocols and physician orders.
• Position patients accurately and ensure proper alignment to obtain high-quality images.
• Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, performing routine calibrations and troubleshooting as needed.
• Follow safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure to patients, self, and staff.
• Review and evaluate images for technical quality, and ensure images are properly documented and filed.
• Provide clear instructions to patients, ensuring they understand the procedure and are comfortable throughout.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and equipment usage.
• Assist with patient preparation and provide support during and after imaging procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
