Position Overview

We are seeking a Radiology Generalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role involves integrating scientific knowledge, technical skills, patient interaction, and compassionate care to produce diagnostic information. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology, and must maintain high accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure techniques.

Qualifications
  • Technical diploma from a formal diagnostic Radiology program
  • R-AART certification from the American Registry of Radiology Technologists
  • CMRT certification from the Texas Medical Board
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient identity with approved identifiers
  • Assess factors that may contraindicate procedures, such as medication reactions, patient history, laboratory results, and artifacts
  • Provide information to patients, healthcare providers, students, and the public about the profession's role and responsibilities
  • Perform routine, portable, STAT, urgent, on-call, and intraoperative diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopy procedures with accuracy
  • Document fluoroscopic time and radiation exposure
  • Ensure precise data entry and image management in systems like EPIC and PACS
  • Apply patient safety principles during all procedures, including assisting and transporting patients
  • Report equipment issues promptly and follow up accordingly
  • Build confidence and cooperation through effective communication and instructions
