Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.
• Current California Radiologic Technologist licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, escort to rooms, provide instructions, and assist with positioning.
• Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images and adjust exposure settings.
• Develop and process radiologic film.
• Use radiation safety measures to protect patients and staff.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Complete forms, label films, and maintain procedure logs.
• Input radiologic orders into the EMR and manage radiologic supplies.
• Back-up for clinical team by controlling patient flow.
• Take and document vital signs in the EMR.
• Commit to primary care for underserved populations.

Position Type: Part Time

Salary Range: $27.00 - $29.00 Hourly

Supporting Community Healthcare is a rewarding role. LifeLong Medical Care is looking for a Radiology (X–Ray) Technician to work at our Urgent Care sites in San Pablo and Richmond, California. The Radiology Technician performs X–Rays for diagnostic purposes and follows established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.

Current California Radiologic Technologist licensure required.

This is an in‑person, part‑time, benefit‑eligible position working 24 hours per week.

This position is represented by SEIU‑UHW. Salaries and benefits are set by a collective bargaining agreement, and employees must remain in good standing with the union as defined in the agreement.

LifeLong Medical Care is a multi‑site Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides integrated services to a diverse patient community.

Benefits

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, escort them to the rooms, provide instructions, and assist with positioning.
• Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, adjusting controls to set exposure time and distance.
• Develop and process radiologic film.
• Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members.
• Ensure equipment remains in working order and report malfunctions to the Practice Manager or supervisor.
• Perform related administrative duties including completing forms, labeling films and envelopes, and maintaining procedure logs.
• Retrieve radiologic orders and input related data into the electronic medical record.
• Maintain adequate radiologic supplies.
• Serve as a back‑up for clinical team members as needed by controlling patient flow.
• Obtain blood pressure measurements and document vital signs in the EMR.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Commit to the provision of primary care services for the underserved with sensitivity and respect for diverse populations.
