Description:The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist's primary responsibilities include positioning the chest, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, knee, foot, or ankle in preparation for x-ray.This role performs imaging procedures without requiring direct supervision.The technologist operates x-ray equipment, processes images, and documents into PACS.Basic patient care is provided under the supervision of the clinic nurse.Patient care duties may include obtaining vital signs, placing patients in exam rooms, obtaining specimens, and preparing patients for clinician evaluation.The technologist assists the clinician as needed.The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist ensures that the area is clean and well-stocked with supplies and equipment.This position may also require floating to other areas as needed.
