Job summary

Henry Ford Health System is seeking a Radiology Technology Assistant for the day shift on a part-time basis. The role involves performing a variety of clerical, technical, and patient-facing tasks to support the Radiology team, including check-in, exam prep, patient education, and assisting with procedures and patient transport.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and is BLS certified or will be certified on orientation. Prior clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge required.
• BLS certification required upon hire or during orientation to department.
• One year clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Radiology team and provide patient check-in, exam prep, education.
• Assist with exams/procedures and patient transportation.
• Support multiple radiology modalities and imaging sections as needed.
• Perform related duties under supervision.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of clerical, technical, and patient related duties according to established protocols. The Radiology Technologist Assistant is responsible for assisting members of the Radiology team and providing a broad range of health care services such as patient check-in, exam review, preparation for the visit, patient education, assistance with exams/procedures and patient transporting. May be assigned to work in a variety of imaging sections, assist multiple radiology modalities and /or clinical services per operational needs. Performs related duties as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Medical knowledge and terminology preferred.
• One (1) year clinical experience preferred.
• CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification required upon hire or during orientation to department.
