  • Documents and reports imaging findings per policy.
  • Maintains compliance with safety, hygiene, and infection control standards.
  • Follows proper protocols for storing and handling radiologic images.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and compassion in all patient interactions.

The Radiology Technician performs diagnostic imaging procedures to assist medical providers in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating injury or illness. This position prepares patients for imaging, operates radiographic equipment, and ensures high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient comfort and safety. The technician ensures compliance with state and federal radiology standards and maintains accurate documentation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
  • Prepares patients for imaging procedures and explains the process clearly.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrates knowledge of radiologic technology and diagnostic imaging.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Maintains attention to detail and follows safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Uses critical thinking and judgment in positioning and equipment usage.

Education (level and type) and Related Work Experience

  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Radiology Technician required.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills required.
  • Experience in outpatient clinical environments preferred.
