Job summary

AHMC HealthCare in Monterey Park is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging under general supervision. You will prepare patients, explain procedures, position them correctly, and apply ALARA principles while selecting appropriate technique parameters.

You will review digital images for diagnostic quality, maintain safety, transport patients, rotate on-call, and assist in department responsibilities including receptionist tasks and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
• Pass a National Test (ARRT).
• State Licensed (CRT).
• Must hold a current certificate of the CRT.
• Current BCLS required (AHA).
• Must hold a current Fluor certification.
• At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred, or rotation with Garfield Medical radiology program.

Responsibilities

• Provide top quality radiographs for diagnosis.
• Explain procedures to patients, comfort, and position patients on exam table.
• Select technique parameters in keeping with ALARA and review digital images for diagnostic quality.
• Maintain radiation safety measures and comply with regulations.
• Rotate on-call and work variable shifts including weekdays and weekends.
• Transport patients to/from Radiology Department and inform nurses when patient leaves/returns.
• Perform general office duties and maintain patient records as needed.
• Assist in department operations and staff education as requested.

Education
