Description

Summary: The Radiology Technologist will perform routine and advanced imaging procedures, support other imaging technologists, and facilitate patient flow. Flexibility to work various shifts and campuses is required. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment, participating in QA, and staying current with technical advances. The technologist must maintain competencies and align with the organization's values.

Responsibilities

  • Follow departmental policies regarding behavior, dress, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Support staff growth and collaboration with management and physicians.
  • Assist radiologists and referring physicians to ensure physician satisfaction.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and appropriate communication.
  • Adapt patient assessment and care to individual needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and standards.
  • Perform examinations to aid patient throughput within scope of licensure and competencies.
  • Work flexibly across shifts and campuses as needed.
  • Ensure exams are correctly scanned and stored in PACS.
  • Follow PACS downtime procedures and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and follow up as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education/Skills

Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent required.

Experience
  • Preferably 1 year in a hospital setting.
  • Basic computer skills required.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
  • ARRT Radiography (R) certification required.
  • State licensure required (e.g., MRT by TMB in Texas).
  • BLS certification required.
