Job summary

HCA Florida Northside Hospital in Saint Petersburg, FL seeks a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist for a full-time weekend-only position. You will perform radiographs to assist physicians with diagnoses, while delivering compassionate, accurate care.

Responsibilities include selecting technical factors, handling patient positioning, documenting in MEDITECH, and ensuring equipment readiness. ARRT certification, FL license, and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• 2-year/Associate degree in Radiologic Technology
• Valid ARRT certification
• Active Florida licensure (CRT)
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

Responsibilities

• Take radiographs (x-rays) to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensure high-quality images with proper markers and dating.
• Position patients safely and with modesty, using equipment as needed.
• Document clinical information accurately in MEDITECH.
• Maintain equipment and room cleanliness to prevent cross-contamination.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Ourimagingteams are a committed, caring group of professionals.We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist for a full-time opportunity. Youwill take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment andperform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) may include but are not limited to:

• Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures
• Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated
• Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist inadministration of contrast media when indicated
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies

Qualifications:

• 2-year/Associate degree
• Hospital-based Radiologic Technology program
• Valid ARRT certification
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
