Job Summary
Performs radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist. Coordinates daily activities, including performing examinations and associated clerical duties.
Essential Functions
Physical Requirements
Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers. Handles equipment and monitors supplies. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to interact with patients and hospital staff. May frequently need to stretch, bend, twist, squat, or kneel while operating radiographic equipment. Must be able to use hands for power gripping, speed work, and precision during manipulation of radiographic equipment, especially with injured or diseased patients. Vision and hearing for distances up to 10 feet are necessary.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
Must have successfully completed a formal Radiology Tech Program in an AMA-approved facility, be registered with ARRT, and hold Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS HCP) certification from AHA. If a new graduate, must be registry eligible with registration completed within 1 year of hire date.
