Job summary

OrthoCarolina University office in Charlotte, NC seeks a Part-Time Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs while ensuring radiation safety. The role features 12-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Tuesdays and Fridays, plus alternating weekend coverage from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, supporting orthopedic imaging.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT credentials or registry eligibility, a Radiologic Technologist program, and at least 1 year of orthopedic XR experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technologist program.
• Minimum of one year of orthopedic radiology experience.
• Registered Radiology Tech or ARRT registry eligible, CPR recommended.

To learn more about Team OC please visit https://www.orthocarolina.com/about-us**We have an opportunity for a Part-Time (28 hours per week) Radiology Technologist in our OrthoCarolina University office.** The schedule for this position is 12-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Tuesdays and Fridays, with every other weekend coverage from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.The **Radiology Technologist** will provide diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and/or physician assistants while protecting employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and usage of appropriate protection standards.**Essential Functions:*** Demonstrates competency in positioning of all radiological procedures as prescribed by departmental policy.* Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding and address any questions or concerns.* Positions patients and selects exposure factors for various radiologic examinations and provides patient with radiation protection and safety in accordance with prescribed methods.* Logs radiological procedures completed, processes charges and related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.* Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks necessary medical and/or radiological supplies in the department. Compliance with all OrthoCarolina policy and procedures.* Assists with the transportation of patients between the examination module(s) and the Radiology department.
