A leading healthcare provider in Ohio is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform essential radiographic procedures under physician direction. Under the direction of the Physician / Radiologist and the supervision of the manager or supervisor, a radiologic technologist performs radiographic procedures to assist in diagnosing diseases and injuries. This position is responsible for executing quality radiographic procedures as prescribed by a physician, adhering to department policies and procedures, working effectively with patients and families, maintaining interdepartmental relationships, complying with infection prevention protocols, maintaining accurate records, ensuring radiation safety, participating in student education and orientation of new employees, overseeing quality assurance, caring for equipment, and other duties as assigned. The technologist utilizes proper radiation protection devices and monitors x-ray equipment for proper functioning.
At some locations, additional responsibilities include admitting and discharging patients, taking vital signs and patient history, administering health screens (EKGs, audiometric, vision, PFT, drug screens), performing venipuncture, and administering injections under MD supervision. The role also involves active participation in customer service, communicating with clients and patients to resolve concerns, and accepting responsibilities of other staff, including in their absence.
