Job summary

MelroseWakefield Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiology procedures, verify protocols, and ensure safety. This senior role supports technologists and students, with opportunities for career advancement in radiology modalities.

The position requires an Associate degree in Radiology or related field, ARRT certification, and at least 4 years of experience, plus BLS. Union hospital benefits start day one, with pathways for growth and immediate retirement

Qualifications

Associate degree in Radiology or related field is required.
ARRT certification is required.
State license eligibility is required.
Minimum 4 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

Perform radiologic procedures on assigned patients per department policy and radiological standards.
Verify patient identity and procedure to be performed.
Communicate clear instructions to patients.
Verify and apply correct imaging protocols and scanner parameters.
Ensure patient and staff safety for equipment used.
Participate in ongoing education and training.
Perform quality control on equipment and devices.
Coordinate patient care with other departments.
Maintain clean and functional work areas per regulations.
Train and educate students/technologists on proper procedures.
