Job summary

NextCare in Beeville, TX is looking for an energetic Radiology Technologist to join our fast-paced clinic. You will perform radiology duties, prepare images for the radiologists, and uphold HIPAA and infection control standards while delivering compassionate patient care.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to policies, and proficiency with EMR/EHR systems; a high school diploma, radiology certification, and CPR are required, with full- or part-time schedules available.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus a radiology diploma/certificate.
  • Current State Radiology Certification or National Radiology License.
  • CPR certification from a recognized provider.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiology duties within NextCare policies and state rules.
  • Prepare and transmit images to the Radiologist for over-read and report results to providers.
  • Maintain HIPAA guidelines and privacy of patient information.
  • Keep exam rooms stocked and medical supplies properly stored.
  • Ensure environmental cleaning and infection control between patient visits.

Responsibilities
  • Performs radiology duties within the scope of practice as stated in NextCare Policies and Procedures, as well as the state appropriate Radiation Rules and Regulations.
  • Knowledge of applicable radiology state rules and regulations
  • Prepare and transmit images to the Radiologist for over-read and report over-read results to providers.
  • Knowledge of applicable radiology state rules and regulations

  • Maintains HIPAA guidelines.
  • May scan and task medical record documents for review by the provider.
  • Maintain clinical supplies and equipment and ensure proper storage of biohazards.
  • Ensure medical supplies are received and placed in the appropriate storage location. Keep exam rooms supplied as needed.
  • Completes surgical instrument cleaning following policy and procedure guidelines. May not perform autoclave procedures.
  • Perform environmental cleaning, cleans exam/procedure rooms, and equipment between patient visits following infection control policy.
  • Promptly notifies the Clinic Manager of patient or employee safety concerns.
  • Must be proficient in EMR/EHR
  • Performs other non-clinical related duties as assigned or described by Company policy.

Essential Education, Experience And Skills

Education: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; AND diploma or certificate from an accredited radiology school and/or equivalent experience.

License: Current State Radiology Certification OR National Radiology License

Certification: Current healthcare professional level CPR certification issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, American Safety Health Institute or National Safety
