Position Summary

The Radiology Technologist plays a vital role in providing imaging services that support patient care and organizational goals. Responsibilities include performing imaging procedures, assisting with patient care, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety and documentation standards are met.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Maintain knowledge of radiation equipment, including routine maintenance.
  2. Perform radiologic examinations following protocols.
  3. Operate radiologic and PACS equipment.
  4. Properly position patients and calculate exposure factors.
  5. Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
  6. Evaluate and store images according to policy.
  7. Practice sterile techniques in applicable settings.
  8. Maintain accurate documentation in EMR or paper charts.
  9. Assist with printing, copying, and pulling images for surgery.
  10. Assist patients pre- and post-procedures.
  11. Participate in housekeeping and safety tasks.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned, following policies and guidelines.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current ARRT registration and WA State Radiologic Technologist certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical radiology experience preferred.
  • BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
