Job summary

Iredell Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to administer x-rays and produce diagnostic images for diverse patient ages. This role involves operating x-ray equipment, developing film, and preparing the room for procedures.

Candidates must be ARRT-registered or eligible, with BLS certification and strong interpersonal skills for patient and staff interactions in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or registry eligible.
• If registry eligible, must graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program and be registered within one year of hire.
• Registry must be current and updated before expiration.
• Current BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Ability to effectively deal with patients, families, hospital staff and physicians.
• Excellent computer, interpersonal and communication skills.

Job description

Administer x-rays to various anatomy of the body to produce clinically diagnostic images to assist the physician in the diagnosis of disease and injuries on new born, pediatric, adolescence, adult and geriatric patients. Operates x-ray equipment, develops film and prepares room for radiological procedures.

Shift: Fri. 8:00 AM -7:00 PM, Sat & Sun 12:00 PM - 12:30 AM

Requirements

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or registry eligible.

Essential Physical Requirements

Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include standing, bending, stooping and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
