Job summary

TriCities Hospital in Hopewell, VA is seeking a Radiology Technologist (PRN) to perform general diagnostic radiographic procedures and operate X-ray equipment across hospital environments. The role emphasizes radiation safety, accurate record-keeping, and patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate has ARRT registration or eligibility, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of hospital radiology experience. Ongoing education and adherence to safety standards are required for continued eligibility.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration or registry-eligible.
• BLS certification is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or military radiology training.
• Minimum of 1 year hospital-based radiology experience.
• Formal computer courses are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and collects information for procedures.
• Performs general diagnostic radiographic procedures.
• Operates mobile radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment in various settings.
• Administers contrast media as required.
• Participates in continuing education for ARRT CE requirements.
• Render patient care professionally and courteously.
• Complies with safety standards and Leapfrog indicators.
• Other duties as assigned.
