Job summary

OrthoNebraska is seeking a Radiology Technologist for our fast-paced orthopedic clinic to obtain high-quality diagnostic x-rays following physician orders. The role emphasizes friendly patient interactions and adherence to ALARA principles.

Required are AMA-approved radiologic technology education, ARRT(R) credential, and state licensure (Nebraska/Iowa). BLS and clinic/hospital imaging experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved radiologic technology school -required.
• ARRT (R) -required.
• Nebraska state Medical Radiographer license -required.
• Iowa State Medical Radiographer license -required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) -required.
• 1+ year of experience in a clinic and/or hospital imaging department -preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality x-rays in an orthopedic clinic setting.
• Responsible for quality control of images taken, and able to adjust positioning and technical parameters to obtain the required anatomy for optimal results.
• Assess patient abilities to comply with the exam's physical requirements, then communicate effectively to complete the exam in a timely manner.
• Interact professionally with patients, physicians, management and team members.
• Adhere to ALARA principles and obtain diagnostic images per physician protocols.
• Participate in department meetings and performance improvement education.

Position Summary

The Radiology Technologist Clinic is our Clinic Radiology Technologist, works in a fast paced and high-volume orthopedic clinic. This person is responsible for friendly and positive interactions with our patients, while obtaining quality diagnostic x-rays in accordance with our physician's orders.

Education

• Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved radiologic technology school -required.

License / Certification

Experience

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Working in a fast-paced environment, in team and individual settings.
• Responsible for all other duties as assigned.

Physical requirements

• This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of up to 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
• Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct pre-employment physical and drug testing. Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical with a drug screen, background check and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.
