Job summary

Ohio Valley Surgical Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist (PRN) to perform radiology procedures under the direct supervision of the Imaging Coordinator. The role includes preparing and maintaining supplies, x-ray logs, and equipment, and ensuring a safe, efficient imaging room.

You will assist with pre-admission testing when needed, including blood draws and EKGs, and participate in safety practices to recognize hazards and implement corrective measures as part of the imaging team.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology Technologist functions under the direct supervision of the Imaging Coordinator.
• Prepares and maintains supplies, x-ray log, equipment, and room for radiology procedures.
• Demonstrates competency in area of practice.
• Assists, as required, in pre-admission testing with blood draws and EKG's.
• Recognizes safety hazards and initiates appropriate corrective and/or preventive measures.

Under the direct supervision of the Imaging Coordinator, the Radiology Technologist performs radiology procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the Imaging Team. Prepares and maintains radiology supplies, instruments and equipment related to these procedures. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities. The Radiology Technologist reports to the Imaging Coordinator and/or Imaging Services Director.
