Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist for a PRN role to support imaging services. You will perform radiographs (x-rays) with accuracy, ensuring image quality and patient safety while collaborating with physicians and the radiology team.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, securing proper markers, documenting procedures, and maintaining equipment. The role emphasizes compassionate care and adherence to department protocols in a busy hospital

Qualifications

• Candidate must be Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist.
• Active ARRT certification is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Maintain professional and compassionate patient care during imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographs (x-rays) with accuracy to assist physicians in diagnosis.
• Ensure proper markers, date/time stamps, and image quality for interpretation.
• Position patients safely and explain procedures to maintain comfort and modesty.
• Document clinical information and obtain consent before exams.
• Coordinate with radiologists and care team to ensure efficient workflows.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and readiness to prevent cross-contamination.

Youwill take radiographs (x-rays) of patients which will assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment andperform procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.We prioritize patient care.If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Tech) may include but are not limited to:

• Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures
• Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images assuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated
• Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when necessary
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved school
• Valid ARRT certification
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 100 lbs.
