Qualifications

• Two years of clinical training in an AMA-approved program.
• Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training.
• ARRT certification and current Louisiana Registered Radiologic license; new grads eligible.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: gather information from medical records and verify orders, confirm patient identity, provide pre- and post-procedure explanations.
• Equipment Operation: maintain clean work areas and use RIS/PACS efficiently.
• Quality – Radiation Protection: follow ALARA and radiation safety guidelines to minimize exposure.
• Quality – Image Production: select equipment and assess image quality for proper positioning.
• Other duties: perform Radiology Transporter duties when needed.
