Job summary

Black Women’s Mental Health Institute seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging, maintain competency, and ensure high-quality results in collaboration with radiologists and staff. You will prepare patients, verify IDs, and follow protocols to optimize patient safety and comfort.

The role requires ARRT certification and state licensure where applicable, BLS, and strong teamwork. You will operate imaging equipment, review results, and contribute to a patient-centered imaging

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and state licensure (if applicable).
• BLS certification.
• Knowledge of anatomy, image evaluation, equipment operation, and contrast protocols.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and independent work skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency in clinical and technical functions.
• Prepare patients, verify identification, and ensure adherence to protocols.
• Perform imaging studies, review image quality, and operate related systems.
• Follow radiation safety and infection control guidelines.
• Educate patients, ensure comfort, and document procedures accurately.
• Assist and instruct colleagues and students on exam procedures and equipment use.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, and reporting equipment issues.
