Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopic studies across locations in Houston, with duties including RIS/PACS usage and adherence to safety protocols.

You will work under the Radiology Department, maintaining equipment, documenting exams, and ensuring quality images while communicating effectively with radiologists, staff, and patients.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Eligible for ARRT (R) registry.
• Graduate Technologist designation per Texas Medical Board; ARRT(R) and MRT status within one year.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Proven ability to use computer keyboard and digital image acquisition.
• Proven excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiography including fluoroscopic studies.
• Participate in routine equipment maintenance and report malfunctions.
• Use RIS system and document studies for radiologist review.
• Understand PACS and identify transmission problems and notify supervisor.
• Follow radiation safety measures and sterile technique when needed.
• Participate in trainings and maintain licenses/certifications.
