Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiology Technology.
• Certified in general radiologic technology by the ARRT.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Gives straight-forward explanations and instructions to foster comfort and confidence to patients.
• Operates and maintains all imaging department equipment including X-Ray.
• Positions patients and uses radiologic equipment to capture images as ordered by a physician.
• Performs imaging exams as ordered and notifies the on-duty physician of results.
• Completes QA and applies radiation safety practices to reduce exposure.
• Maintains documentation, logs, and records in paper and electronic formats.
• Maintains supplies required to perform quality testing.
• Performs routine maintenance and checks on imaging equipment.
• Performs other related duties as required.
