Job summary

Candidates should be prepared to work within a multi-campus system across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, rotating through diagnostic radiology areas and contributing to quality assurance programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARRT recognized education program, or ARRT registered, or ARRT registry eligible.
• Must pass registry within 1 year of hire date.
• NJ staff must have current New Jersey State Radiologic Technologist License (with NJ Dept. of Environmental Protection) and must be registered before date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient and exam; perform diagnostic radiographic services with care and evaluate technical quality.
• Ensure successful technical continuity of care and education of radiological procedures to patients.
• Demonstrate competency in RIS/HIS modules relevant to job responsibilities.
• Assist in data collection for Radiology Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement.
• Assume responsibility for assigned area; ensure equipment and supplies needed are available.
• Adhere to downtime procedures to ensure information availability for continuity of care.
• Maintain professional development through in-services/continuing education and personal education binder.
• Provide educational information to the patient regarding their examination.
• Participate in annual peer review of films.
