Responsibilities include verifying orders, preparing patients, operating radiography and fluoroscopy equipment, ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining safety, and mentoring student technologists.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiography program (certificate or degree).
• IEMA Radiography License.
• ARRT certification is required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Reviews daily schedules and imaging orders with radiologists to ensure appropriate exams.
• Communicates clearly with patients, verifies identity and history, and explains procedures.
• Operates radiography and fluoroscopy equipment across care areas to produce diagnostic images.
• Prepares imaging studies for interpretation and ensures accurate documentation.
• Performs quality control checks and promptly reports equipment issues.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and follows infection control practices.
• Safely transports patients and provides effective handoff communication.
• Mentors student technologists during clinical rotations.
