The Radiology Technologist plays a vital role as part of the team, responsible for exemplary patient care, operation and maintenance of digital imaging equipment, quality control, radiation safety, and proficiency in all x-ray and fluoroscopic procedures. The role requires strong teamwork skills, independence, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new exams as technology and modalities expand.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality radiographs with minimal patient risk for diagnostic purposes.
  • Follow all ACR, FDA, Medicare, and Washington State laws regarding radiological procedures.
  • Monitor patients during studies to ensure quality, safety, and clinical priority.
  • Communicate regularly with radiologists to tailor examinations to clinical needs.
  • Review images for technical quality.
  • Maintain knowledge of plain film and fluoroscopy procedures.
  • Have working knowledge of RIS and PACS systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiological Technology.
  • Current ARRT certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross).

The hourly pay range is $23.70 to $46.35, based on full-time employment, experience, education, and certifications.
