Job summary

Sentara Health in Suffolk, VA is seeking a part-time Radiology Technologist for weekend day shifts. The role includes radiographic imaging, patient positioning, and equipment operation, with a $10K sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. Shifts are Saturdays and Sundays (7am–5pm or 7am–7pm) with rotating coverage options.

The ideal candidate is a Radiologic Technology graduate with ARRT (R) certification and is comfortable working under a physician’s direction in a Magnet-designated hospital.

Responsibilities

• Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies under physician supervision.

• Prepares patient room/equipment/medications and maintains supplies.
• Explains procedures to patients and completes departmental documentation.

City/State Suffolk, VA Work Shift Weekend Days Overview: Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA, is currently hiring a Radiology Technologist for a part time, weekend day shift. 10K Sign On Bonus Available for Qualified Candidates! Hours Saturday and Sunday: 7am - 5pm or 7am - 7pm (10 or 12 hr shifts) Flexible scheduling options available, including a rotating shift with coverage every other weekend and select weekdays

Overview Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation.
