Job Summary
Operates radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic x-ray films as directed by care providers and performs routine diagnostic procedures.This position is bonus eligible, follow this link for details.
Essential Functions

Demonstrates competency to assist in performing ERCPs, video fluoroscopies, OR procedures, lumbar punctures, bronchoscopies, enterocolitis, sialography, rhizotomy, facet blocks, endoscopy-tube placements or injections, T-tube cholangiogram, major trauma/trauma bay, neonatal ICU, pacing lab. Performs all critical care procedures. Demonstrates competency in procedures such as arthrograms, myelograms, venograms, minor trauma, and troubleshooting complex studies. Demonstrates knowledge and skill to troubleshoot equipment problems. Access patient's condition and level of cooperation, making appropriate care judgments. Notifies nurse and documents infiltrates and reactions. Checks image quality before sending to radiologist, including markers and all pertinent information. Documents additional info in PACS or EPIC as needed. Demonstrates ability to restart, program, and release air from IVACs. Responds appropriately to codes and emergencies. Stays updated on organizational changes via email each shift. Performs other duties as assigned.
Promotes patient care and safety. Ensures smooth workflow, proper equipment use, and materials management. Maintains good relationships with staff, physicians, and supervisors. Assists staff technologists during shortages or leave. Informs patients and families of delays, including going to ER when delays exceed 30 minutes.
Performs quality checks on images, adds information in PACS or EPIC, charges procedures and supplies upon completion, and verifies studies before archiving.
Achieves patient satisfaction scores as part of Prisma Health. Adheres to patient experience standards set by Prisma Health.
Performs other duties as assigned.

This is a non-management position reporting to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Completion of an accredited radiology program.
Experience: No experience required.
