Orlando Regional Medical Center is adding to our team of Rad Techs dedicated to meeting all the imaging needs of our community. ORMC is a patient-focused hospital with a strong emphasis on teamwork and inclusiveness. We ALWAYS provide exceptional care by treating our patients like family. Our Rad techs go above and beyond to achieve the best image quality possible. As a Level 1 Trauma Center, you will rapidly learn about all aspects of a quality x-ray department. Our knowledgeable rad techs operate multiple specialty equipment (O-ARM, CIOS, OMEGA, ZEIHM) to ensure all the different Centers and Institutes we support get the job done effectively and efficiently.

Schedule: Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday 7:00 am to 7:30 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy and/or physiology for interpretation and/or intervention.
  • Exercise professional judgment and maintain a demeanor aligned with quality care.
  • Deliver appropriate care, recognizing patient conditions, and ensuring successful procedure completion.
  • Comply with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Adhere to Orlando Health mission and standards of excellence.
  • Assess patient’s physical condition and age-specific needs.
  • Provide instructions to achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
  • Perform proper patient identification, acquire clinical history, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Position patient and equipment, manipulate technical factors to produce high-quality images.
  • Assess images for technical quality, annotation, and proper identification.
  • Apply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure.
  • Participate in Quality Control standards and tasks.
  • Proficiently administer contrast medications and respond to adverse reactions or emergencies.
  • Apply standard precautions and PPE to prevent disease transmission.
  • Supervise student and new technologists’ training.
  • Use all radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
  • Ensure the safety of all customers.
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance per policies and standards.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Education/Training: Graduated or graduating from an accredited Radiologic Technology school.
Licensure/Certification: Valid Florida Radiologic Technologist license, ARRT certification, and current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
