Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist for our Norwalk, IA clinic, working Monday–Friday 8AM–5PM in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. The Radiologic Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging, ensure safety standards, and assist clinical staff to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required before hire.
• Active Iowa permit to practice radiologic technology.
• Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic x-ray exams as ordered by providers using proper exposure techniques (MA, KV, time, and distance).
• Explain imaging procedures clearly to patients and families to ensure comfort and understanding.
• Apply radiation protection practices in accordance with regulatory and safety standards.
• Maintain sterile technique and prevent cross-contamination.
• Conduct regular quality control checks on radiologic and darkroom equipment to ensure optimal image quality.
• Complete and maintain appropriate imaging records and referral logs.
• Ensure all x-ray films and images are stored, tracked, and reviewed in a timely manner.

• Registered as a Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) prior to hire
• Current Iowa permit to practice radiologic technology.
• Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC a plus!
• For positions within UnityPoint Clinic, team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing
