Job summary

Compass Memorial Healthcare in Iowa is seeking a full-time Radiologic Technologist for the night shift (8:00 P.M. - 6:00 A.M., Monday through Thursday). The night shift offers premium pay of base plus 30%.

The position performs X-Ray and CT exams for ER patients, inpatients, and outpatients. You will ensure patient safety, document symptoms, perform portable radiography in the ED, patient rooms, and surgical area, and assist radiologists to obtain quality readings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is preferred.
• Graduate from an AMA approved school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT certificate and Iowa Permit to Practice are required.
• Knowledge of PACS and ability to work with computer systems.
• CT experience is a plus; CT training is available with a certified CT technologist.
• Maintain 24 hours of continuing education every two years.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality patient care and safety.
• Document symptoms to aid the radiologist in obtaining a quality reading.

• Perform radiographic examinations on trauma patients and patients in other life-threatening circumstances.

Primary Function

Performs a variety ofimaging procedures including X-Ray and CT on ER patients, inpatients, and outpatients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Education, Experience and Training

• High School diploma or GED preferred

• Maintain 24 hours of continuing education every Two (2) years
• Must have the ability to work with a variety of computer-related equipment
