Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Radiology Technologist (Multi Modality) on a PRN basis. The role covers diagnostic procedures across modalities with independence and strong patient care focus. The hospital emphasizes high quality care, regulatory compliance and teamwork.

Requirements include a Florida CRT license, ARRT certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a relevant imaging modality certification; BLS is also required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Diploma or certification from an accredited school in the primary imaging modality is required.
• One year or more of experience as a Radiology Technologist or Ultrasound Technologist is preferred.
• Current Florida Radiology Technologist (CRT) license is required.
• Current ARRT certification is required.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic procedures in multi-modality radiology with supervision as needed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of regulatory standards (The Joint Commission, ACR) and hospital policies.
• Exhibit leadership, organization and effective communication within clinical teams.
• Interact professionally with staff and the public and maintain computer literacy.
• Support teamwork and participate in process improvements.

Job Overview:

The Multi-Modal Technologist reports to the designated leader(s) within the Radiology/Imaging Department. This position performs diagnostic procedures with skill and without requiring constant supervision in more than one (1) modality, OR, two (2) specialties within the same modality. This position will require independent judgment and initiative of a technical level. Experience in Breast Ultrasound preferred.

• Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) standards and guidelines.
• Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
• Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
• Must have working knowledge of computers and basic management applications.
• Treats everyone as a guest by making a good first impression, anticipating needs and displaying service recovery skills
• Demonstrates professionalism and excellence by looking professional, being accountable for actions and delivering excellence in our everyday work.
• Practices teamwork by participating in decision making and process improvement, communicating effectively and focusing on the problem/issue, not the person.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivilent required.
• Diploma / Certification from certified school of Primary Imaging Modality required.
• One (1) or more years of experience as a Radiology Technologist or Ultra Sound Technologist preferred
• Current Florida Radiology Technologist (CRT) license required.
• Current American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
