Job summary

Qualifications

• 0-1 year clinical radiologic technologist experience.
• ARRT certification required; state licensure as applicable.
• BCLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality radiographic procedures independently, following positioning guidelines and departmental standards.
• Practices radiation safety principles per ALARA and participates in Image Gently/Image Wisely programs.
• Prepares patients for procedures, verifies orders, and explains procedures for patient comfort.
• Demonstrates competencies for all relevant patient demographics.
• Cleans and maintains imaging equipment per infection control protocols.
• Manages supplies and equipment for patient care.
• Inserts IV catheters for contrast injections during CT/MRI per policy.
• Scans and verifies documents into PACS for radiologist interpretation.
• Communicates effectively with peers, staff and physicians to support patient care.
• Identifies and mitigates artifacts to ensure image quality.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies.
