Job summary

Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, part-time Radiologic Technologist, is seeking personnel to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures and related clerical duties with appropriate supervision.

The role involves operating radiologic equipment, maintaining patient safety, and accurate record-keeping. Candidates should be graduates of an approved radiologic technology program, hold a NY license, and have BLS preferred; ARRT certification preferred.

Work Schedule: Evenings with Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Hours: Shifts are as follows: 1:00pm - 9:00pm, 2:00pm - 10:00pm, 3:00pm - 11:00pm, 3.30pm - 11:30pm

Summary: A Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures and related clerical functions at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Demonstrates ability and performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnosis.

Responsibilities

Education

• Graduate of an Approved School of Radiologic Technology
• BLS Preferred
• New York State License as a "General Radiologic Technologist" and current New York State Department of Health certificate of registration as a Radiologic Technologist. Temporary Licenses issued by the New York State Department of Health are acceptable.
• ARRT certified preferred

Experience

• None (One (1) year preferred)

• Good general health necessary in order to stand and walk most of the day
• Must have the ability to pull, push, and lift patients and equipment
