Job Description

Department: Radiology $10,000 Sign On Bonus

Schedule: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Wages: $25.39 - $34.53

Position Summary:

Provides patient services using imaging modalities. Performs radiographic procedures. Applies principles of radiation protection. Evaluates radiographs for technical quality. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures. Provides patient care essential to radiographic procedures. Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates life support measures.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Performs radiologic and fluoroscopic procedures using appropriate personal and patient safety devices
  • Initiates CPR as needed
  • Positions and transfers patients
  • Verifies radiology request against written order
  • Prepares and administers contrast media via IV, orally or rectally
  • Verifies patient charges against procedure performed to ensure accuracy
  • Maintains general cleanliness in work area
  • Stocks linen in room
  • Performs other department related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Registry eligible (an individual who has completed an approved 24 month training program OR has received military training and has relevant hospital experience and will be writing the next registry exam)
  • BLS Certification
  • For third shift, CT training and ability to scan independently is required

Preferred:

  • Previous experience as Radiologic Technologist
  • ARRT Registration
