Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management in Beachwood, OH seeks a Cath Lab Tech to support cardiology and electrophysiology teams. You will assist with patient assessment, history collection, and preparation for procedures in the EP or cardiac catheterization lab.

You will help set up sterile fields, attach leads, monitor patient status, and assist physicians while maintaining radiation safety. This role requires practice with EMR entry and a commitment to PHI compliance and high-quality

Qualifications

• Assess patients' status and identify needs by age-specific requirements.
• Assist in collecting patient history and entering data into Hemodynamic system and/or EMR.
• Prepare patients and attach leads, defibrillator pads, BP cuff and set up the sterile field.
• Support the physician at the table while maintaining sterile procedure and ensure supplies are available.
• Maintain radiation safety and protection throughout the procedure.

A Brief Overview

The Cath Lab Tech is responsible to the Department Assistant Nurse Manager/Director and its clients for performing a variety of duties in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology to assist the cardiologist and electrophysiologist and the quality of radiological work in the EP or cardiac catheterization laboratory.

What You Will Do

• Demonstrate the ability to assess patients' status and identify each patient’s requirements relative to their age specific needs.
• Assists in the acquisition of patient history and entering into Hemodynamic system and/or EMR.
• Prepping patient and attaching leads, Defibrillator Pads, BP cuff and setting up the sterile field.
• Assisting the Physician at the table maintaining sterile procedure. Responsible for availability of supplies and equipment keeping in mind fiscal responsibility.
• Responsible for all duties related to Radiation Safety and Protection.
