Job summary

St. Michael’s Hospital Avera in Tyndall, SD is seeking a Radiology Technologist to support department coverage by performing diagnostic imaging procedures according to established standards and protocols.

The role involves presenting patient-focused care, preparing and positioning patients, adhering to radiation safety and infection control standards, and documenting procedures in EHR/PACS as part of a collaborative care team. Full-time with on‑site shifts and regular on‑call involvement.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic X-ray procedures according to establish protocols.
• Ensure quality imaging and patient safety.
• Prepare and position patients appropriately for exams.
• Follow radiation safety and infection control standards.
• Keeps the work area clean and orderly.
• Document procedures accurately in EHR/PACS
• Handles the necessary paperwork, filing and other office procedures in accordance with department policies.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to support patient care.
• Keeps current with the latest trends in technology and radiological procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and professional appearance and conduct.
