Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging across X-ray, ultrasound, CT, fluoroscopy, and MRI, partnering with Radiologists to support accurate diagnoses and high-quality patient care.

You will prepare and operate radiology equipment, position patients, explain procedures, protect patients from radiation, ensure consistent results, and maintain clean equipment. A strong emphasis on safety and accuracy guides daily work.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology.
• WA license upon hire required.
• ARRT Registered Technologist Radiography required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares/operates radiology equipment for the correct size, depth and detail of a requested exposure area, based on physicians’ orders and in adherence to department protocols.
• Explains procedures to patients and responds to questions.
• Utilizes equipment/accessories and employs techniques/procedures to comfort and protect the patient, self and others from unnecessary radiation.
• Utilizes equipment/accessories and employs techniques/procedures to ensure that results are consistent.
• Cleans equipment after each use.
• Delivers patient care for all age groups while performing radiological exams/procedures and/or special procedures.
