Job description

We Are Hiring

• Department: Imaging
• Schedule: PRN, rotating schedule
• Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo
• Location: Kokomo, IN

What You Will Do

Take radiologic films providing quality images to physicians to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and positioning patients for imaging and selecting exposure factors accurately.
• Preparing and administering contrast media and medications within the scope of practice and applicable regulations.
• Monitoring patients during procedures and reporting abnormal activity. Recommending protocol updates as needed.
• Following radiation safety procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure.
• Submitting high-quality images and documents to PACS, ensuring correct markers and patient data.
• Ensuring equipment functions properly and reporting issues promptly.
• Maintaining a clean and organized department.
• Positioning patients and selecting parameters accurately.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire, accepted from AHA or ARC.
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist credential within 6 months of hire.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, or an associate's/technical degree, or 4 years of relevant experience.

Additional Preferences

• Associate's or technical degree in an imaging program to obtain Rad Tech license.
