Grandview Medical Center - Birmingham, AL is seeking a Radiology Technologist I responsible for obtaining diagnostic-quality radiographs while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure, and 0-1 years of clinical radiology experience. You will work with PACS/EHR/RIS and uphold radiation safety standards within a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of radiologic technologist experience
• ARRT certification required
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state required
• BCLS within 30 days of hire required

Responsabilités

• Performs high-quality radiographic procedures independently, ensuring reproducible and diagnostic-quality images.
• Adheres to ALARA and participates in Image Gently/Image Wisely programs to minimize exposure.
• Prepares patients, verifies orders, and explains procedures for patient comfort.
• Demonstrates population-appropriate competencies for all patient demographics.
• Cleans and maintains imaging equipment and adheres to infection control protocols.
• Ensures availability and organization of supplies and equipment for patient care.
• Inserts IV catheters for contrast injections during CT or MRI per policy.
• Scans and verifies documents into PACS for radiologist interpretation.
• Communicates effectively with peers, staff, physicians and administration.
• Identifies artifacts to maintain optimal image quality.
• Performs other duties and maintains reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
