AdventHealth is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic imaging and patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will position patients, adjust technical factors, and ensure high-quality images while maintaining strict safety standards.

Qualifications include RT(R) and CPR/BLS, with English fluency and strong teamwork. The role requires ED/OR/digital radiology experience, with opportunities for leadership and cross-training across modalities.

Qualificações

• Fluent English required and good computer literacy.
• RN/RT licensure and ARRT credentials required depending on unit.
• Experience with radiology software and PACS preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform radiographic imaging procedures meeting department standards.
• Position patients/equipment and select technical factors for safe imaging.
• Enter and access EMR data, update statuses and billing
• Maintain infection control and ALARA radiation safety practices
• Assist patients, ensure comfort and privacy during procedures
• Collaborate with team and participate in continued education
• Cross-train into advanced imaging modalities as needed

Job Description

• Shift: Tuesday to Friday 7am to 530pm
• Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist's scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Cross-trains into advanced modalities as needed. Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, distance and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patient and staff.
• Performs radiographic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images that meet department standards.
• Positions patients and equipment, selecting technical factors to produce radiographic images safely and in a timely manner.
• Performs imaging with correct patient demographic and examination information.
• Enters and accesses patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR), updating procedure status and billing.
• Assists patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and privacy, in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds.
• Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of Diagnostic Radiologic Procedures/Positions [Required]
• Ability to determine appropriate technical factors [Required]
• Knowledge of Radiographic and Fluoroscopic equipment [Required]
• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation [Required]
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required]
• Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures [Required]
• Demonstrates ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively [Required]
• E-mail and word processing skills such as Outlook and Microsoft programs, Word and Excel [Required]
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills [Required]
• Ability to multi-task under stress while dealing with large customer volumes [Required]
• Knowledge of advanced special procedures [Preferred]
