AdventHealth Palm Coast is hiring a Radiologic Technologist. This full-time role requires rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:45 AM–8:00 PM, with every other weekend and occasional half-days on Fridays.

The position supports Radiology services across departments, including OR and Fluoroscopy, and offers a sign-on bonus up to $10,000. You will perform imaging exams, maintain equipment, document patient information, ensure safety, and educate patients about procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years radiology experience
• ARRT RT(R) certification
• BLS certification
• Conversational English required

Responsabilités

• Perform radiology duties in all departments and environments, including OR and Fluoroscopy.
• Obtain and document patient history and explain procedures.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy.
• Operate scanners and other imaging equipment safely.
• Maintain room cleanliness and prepare supplies for procedures.

Job Description

Up to a $10,000 Sign-on Bonus Available

Schedule:Full Time

Shift: Rotating 12 hour shifts, 2 days on and 2 days off M-F 7:45 AM - 8:00 PM, half day on Friday either 7:45 AM - 2:00 PM or 1:45 PM - 8:00 PM, and every other weekend Sat. & Sun. 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM

• Practices infection control standards and utilizes approved personal protective equipment (PPE) and disinfectant agents.
• Maintains a properly stocked, organized, and clean room.
• Completes required documentation for Radiologist support and performs clerical duties, including answering telephones, completing patient records, filing, and scheduling.
• Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist’s scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition and ensuring patient comfort, safety, and privacy.
• Obtains and documents patient history and explain procedures.
• Performs radiology duties in all departments and environments, including OR and Fluoroscopy.
• Performs all imaging exams using established protocols and operates all equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment.
• Uses facility policy for proper identification of patients prior to performing exams and educates patients concerning the exam.
• Screens patients properly for any contrast allergies and for childbearing age, minimizing radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Positions patients and equipment and selects technical factors to produce radiographic images meeting Radiologist’s standards in a safe, timely manner.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting protocols as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately [Required]
• Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility [Required]
• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required]
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required]
• Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment [Required]
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]

Education

• Associate or Bachelor's [Preferred]
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience

• 2+ years experience [Required]

Licenses And Certifications

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R) (ARRT)) [Required]
