Job summary

Lake Huron Medical Center in Michigan is seeking a Radiology Technologist II for a full-time, variable shift in the Radiology department. You will perform advanced diagnostic imaging, image processing, and PACS transmission while ensuring quality and safety.

The role includes participation in scheduling, inventory, QA/PI initiatives, and leadership support during management absences. Requires state license, fluoroscopy permit, and two imaging modality certifications.

Qualifications

• Current state Radiologic Technologist license and fluoroscopy permit as required by state regulations.
• Current national certifications in two imaging modalities.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to diagnostic imaging services.
• Proficiency with PACS, radiology information systems, and computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in assigned modalities according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Process, review, and transmit images to PACS for interpretation and storage.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and exceptional customer service throughout the imaging experience.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and state and federal regulations.
• Participate in QA, QC, and PI initiatives.
• Assist with scheduling, workflow coordination, and daily operations within imaging areas.
• Monitor and maintain departmental supplies and imaging equipment readiness.
• Collaborate with Radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support timely patient care.
• Provide leadership support and assist with departmental oversight in the absence of department management.
