Job summary

Garden City Hospital in Michigan is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform Diagnostic Radiography, CT, Mammography, Bone Density, Ultrasound or related procedures following department protocols.

The role interfaces with customers for imaging needs, participates in PI/QC activities, and may oversee sub-department staff in the absence of a manager to ensure quality patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• Required National Certification and Job performance in modalities that do not require a certification.
• Appropriate National Certifications in two Modalities
• Current BCLS (AHA).
• Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.
• One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs Diagnostic Radiographic, Cat Scan, Mammography, Bone Density, Ultrasonography or Special Procedures according to department protocols.
• Functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs.
• Participates in PI/QC activities and assists in maintaining the Performance Improvement Program.
• Oversees radiology area and/or staff in Manager's/Director's absence. Maintains department supplies.
• Promotes teamwork and good customer service. Handles scheduling for assigned sub departments.
