Job description

Job Summary

This Rad Tech position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of $5,000.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm, with rotating call, offering benefits.

The Radiologic Technologist II works independently or assists physicians/APCs in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and operating x-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images in the acute setting. Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient procedures, emergency room, fluoroscopy, portables, and operating rooms. Join our team where quality care and service are our priorities.

Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program; certification required within 6 months of hire; 2-year/Associate degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year in diagnostic radiology.
  • Licensure/Certification: ARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R)), applicable state licensure; passing ARRT registry within 6 months post-graduation.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
    • Know federal and state radiation safety laws.
    • Use personnel monitoring devices properly.
    • Ensure equipment performance and schedule maintenance.
    • Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment independently.
    • Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including intraoperative and mobile procedures, as prescribed.
    • Assist licensed practitioners in procedures like ERCPs, bronchoscopy, mini-c-arms, and post-reductions.
    • Handle mobile imaging including lines, pacers, and neonates.
