Ideal candidates have 0-1 years of radiologic technologist experience, ARRT certification, applicable state licensure, and BCLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of clinical experience as a radiologic technologist required.
  • ARRT certification required; licensed radiologic technologist as applicable by state.
  • BCLS within 30 days of hire required.
  • Proficiency with PACS, RIS, and EHR systems.
  • Strong patient-care and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to recognize artifacts in imaging.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of ALARA radiation safety principles.

Responsibilities

  • Performs high-quality radiographic procedures independently, ensuring diagnostic-quality images.
  • Maintains radiation safety and adheres to ALARA guidelines.
  • Prepares patients, verifies orders, identifies patients, and explains procedures.
  • Cleans and maintains imaging equipment per infection control protocols.
  • Inserts IV catheters for contrast injections during CT or MRI as needed.
  • Documents and verifies scans in PACS for radiologist interpretation.
  • Communicates with peers, physicians, and staff to support patient care.
  • Identifies artifacts and ensures optimal image quality.
  • Maintains regular attendance and compliance with policies.
