Overview:

Sentara Port Warwick in Newport News, VA is currently hiring a Radiology Technologist for a Part-Time, Day Shift position.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients under the supervision of a qualified physician.
  • Position patients correctly to demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
  • Operate radiation-producing equipment and electronic radiology systems.
  • Prepare patient rooms, equipment, and medications, and maintain inventory.
  • Explain procedures to patients and complete departmental documentation.
Education:
  • Trade School Graduate in Radiologic Technology.
Certification/Licensure:
  • ARRT certification; registry-eligible graduates must register within 180 days of hire.
  • BLS certification.
