Job summary

The Radiology Technologist I at Community Health Systems, Inc. will obtain diagnostic-quality radiographic images while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. You will collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to support efficient operations and accurate documentation.

This entry-level role requires ARRT certification, state licensure as applicable, and BCLS within 30 days. You will work on a Monday-Friday schedule and participate in ALARA practices to minimize exposure.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of radiologic technologist clinical experience.
• Knowledge of radiologic imaging techniques and patient positioning.
• Strong radiation safety awareness and ALARA principles.
• Proficient in EHR and RIS systems.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality radiographic procedures independently, ensuring reproducible and diagnostic-quality images.
• Adheres to ALARA guidelines and participates in Image Gently and Image Wisely programs to minimize exposure.
• Prepares patients for procedures, verifies orders, and explains procedures to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Maintains imaging equipment and supplies per infection control protocols and department standards.
• Communicates effectively with peers, physicians, and staff to support seamless patient care.
• Maintains accurate documentation and PACS entries.
